The first time I visited here I was exploring all the historical sites of Southern New Jersey in Salem, Cumberland and Cape May countries during Father’s Day weekend and again during NJ Firemen’s Convention weekend. The wonderful picnic area where you can relax and enjoy your lunch They had the perfect layout during the pandemic.

They do have a window that is dedicated to online orders so they are not behind the times as we would think. You order your food from the window and step back and wait for the order. Hudock’s keeps things simple and friendly when you arrive.

On a warm sunny day, there is nothing like a cup of ice cream or a footlong hot dog to make you forget your troubles. Or admire the beautiful views of the surrounding farms. When people come here to dine, there is not a cellphone in site and people sit in the chairs or at the picnic tables and just talk to one another. The one thing about Hudock’s Custard Stand is that it is a piece of New Jersey nostalgia to a time when things were just a little slower and when you visit, they still are.
